Oral surgery

Oral surgery

Genetic and acquired deformities of teeth, as well as of the soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity, can lead to complications that cannot be resolved through conservative treatment. For this reason, in various cases, oral surgery is required.

Surgical procedures are also performed by our doctors in cases of terminally affected and retained teeth. Our practice offers painless extraction of wisdom teeth and other impacted teeth affected by various complications.

The treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory processes is also an integral part of oral surgery, a highly precise and specialized branch of dentistry.

Sinus Lift (Sinus Augmentation)

The sinuses are part of the respiratory system and are located above the upper posterior teeth. When a patient opts for an implant-prosthetic solution to replace missing teeth in the upper posterior region, one of the most common obstacles is reduced bone volume. After tooth loss in this area, bone atrophy and resorption occur, which can complicate implant placement.

The goal of this procedure is to fill the sinus cavity with biomaterial that will gradually ossify, creating a solid foundation for future dental implants. A partially filled sinus does not negatively affect the physiological function of the sinus or the patient’s overall health.

The implant must be fully embedded in bone along its entire length. Therefore, depending on the available bone volume, implant placement can be performed either simultaneously with sinus lift surgery (if there is at least a minimal amount of bone) or as a delayed procedure, 6–8 months after sinus augmentation.

Sinus lift surgery is performed under local anesthesia, making the procedure painless. Complications are very rare, and a mild postoperative swelling may occur, lasting one to two days. The success rate of the procedure is over 98%.
